The Kenwood Academy offers full time education for young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

Young people who attend the Kenwood Academy (part of Becton School) have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.  They must have a diagnosis or traits of Autism.

Becton Special School and Silverdale School work in partnership, delivering a post-16 specialist hub at Silverdale School.

All students at the Becton & Silverdale will have an individual study programme. Students access one of two study pathways. Students access the pathway which best meets their needs. These are:

  1. Preparation for Further Education or Work
  2. Preparation for Apprenticeships, Supported Internships or other Work

Young people who attend have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.  They support autistic young people.
