Start Well core messages support children's communication, speech and language development.

Session Aims: 

The focus of this workshop is to support the development of children’s speech, language, and communication. Again, this is a universal workshop and is recommended that everyone working with young children should attend.
Through this workshop we will aim to highlight how practitioners can identify, support, and improve language outcomes. We will give you an insight to an early language programme which is delivered by the CEYP team, and called Play & Say. We will look at what we mean by communication, how important play is in language development. How books, stories, song, and rhymes play a part in developing communication and 'what to expect when' with language and development and meeting those development milestones.
We will share information on what support services are available, how and when to refer onwards.
