Session Aims:
To improve how South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue and partner organisations work together to effectively identify and reduce hazards for people most at risk through a person centred approach.
Objectives:
Recognise the most common causes of fires in the home - ignition sources
Identify some visible warning signs that may increase the likelihood of a fire
Identify people at increased risk of having a fire through case studies and real life examples
How to make effective referrals into SYFR through the secure portal system.
Understand what a Home Fire Safety Visit is and what is provided as part of the service
Be aware of what SYFR can and can’t do when visiting people in the community
