About Us

This page tells you more about this website and how to give feedback.

This website is owned and maintained by Sheffield City Council.

It provides information about a wide range of topics.

It covers support for:

  • children, young people and families
  • adults
  • young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents and carers. This is called our Local Offer.

The website is free to use to find information. It is free to join if you want to add information. This would be about you, your service or activity, or the care or support service you provide.

We will sometimes edit the information shown on the directory, for example if there are spelling errors or missing information like the address or contact telephone number.

We have an inclusion and exclusion criteria we use.  This helps when we decide which services appear in the directory. We want to promote events, activities and services that help people:

  • have a good life
  • get involved, and get support from their community
  • get help and support to stay independent, safe and well.

You can suggest a change to any page in the directory.  This could be whether it is for a service you have received or you provide, or if the information is wrong.

You can also give us feedback about any advice you read on the directory, whether you found this useful or not. You can give any feedback directly by emailing the Sheffield Directory Team:

SheffieldDirectory@sheffield.gov.uk

Or you can use the Feedback link at the bottom of every advice page.

We are also interested in hearing from people who would like to help us to develop the website. There’s more information about this on our Get Involved page.
